Redirect Checker
Follow a bounded public redirect chain and inspect the final response metadata.
Run Redirect Checker
Public targets only. No credentials, changes or anonymous active security testing.
What this check does
- Bounded public redirect hops
- Per-hop public-target validation
- Final response metadata
What it does not prove
- Private destinations rejected
- No authenticated redirect testing
- No complete crawl or SEO ranking prediction
Interpret the returned state
PASS means the endpoint returned evidence within its named boundary. REVIEW, WARN and FAIL must be read alongside that evidence; they are not automatically vulnerabilities. UNKNOWN means the observation could not establish the answer.
Why it matters
Redirect evidence helps distinguish intended canonicalisation from loops and unexpected routing. A successful final response does not prove every incoming URL behaves correctly.
Common review questions
- Too many hops or a loop prevent useful completion.
- An unexpected final host needs review.
- HTTP-to-HTTPS behaviour can differ between paths.
Review the route, not just the final page
Use the exact public URL a visitor would enter. Record each returned hop rather than replacing the chain with the last status.
Compare the final destination with the intended canonical host/path. Preserve legitimate redirects; do not remove them solely to shorten a list.
Private-target redirects are blocked even after a public first hop. Use an authorised internal process for private systems, not this free tool.
When a fuller review would help
ZENQIX can combine relevant observations, explain priorities and recommend next steps. No automatic remediation, penetration test or complete-security guarantee is included.
